A WORDMARK BECAME A TYPEFACE

It began with Wayfarer.

Hamelton has developed fonts since 2013.

HS Wayfarer came to be because of the Wayfarer browser. James Hamelton Jr. created its original letterforms for the browser’s logo wordmark, then developed them into a font with a character of its own.

He has decided to release HS Wayfarer as a free download through Hamelton Software, a DBA of Hamelton Brands, LLC. Use it in your own headings, names, sayings, and creative work under the license below.

On Windows, extract the ZIP, select the six TTF files (or the six OTF files), right-click, and choose Install. Install one format only. Remove an older HS Wayfarer installation before updating.

Use the font for personal and commercial work, including websites, applications, print, and logos. Your documents and artwork do not have to use this license.

You may embed and redistribute the font with its copyright notice and license. You may bundle it with software, but you may not sell the font by itself.

Respect the name.

“HS Wayfarer” is a Reserved Font Name. Modified versions must use a different primary font name unless the copyright holder gives written permission. Font derivatives remain under the OFL.
