Wayfarer is created by James Hamelton Jr., the sole developer of the browser and all software distributed by Hamelton Software.
The person behind the browser.
Wayfarer brings together modern browser technology and the personality of classic exploration. It is an independent project with its own identity, inspired by the character of Netscape Navigator.
Hamelton Software is the software distribution brand of Hamelton Brands, LLC. James develops the browser and the software released under that name.
Windows is the first focus for Wayfarer. Planned macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS editions will bring the project to more devices.
A browser that became a typeface.
Hamelton has developed fonts since 2013. HS Wayfarer came to be because of the Wayfarer browser: it began as the logo wordmark and is now available as a free font download under the SIL Open Font License.
